Principle and Scope of Chiropractic Work
What Is Chiropractic?
The American Chiropractic Association defines chiropractic as:
“A science and art which utilizes the inherent recuperative powers of the body and the relationship between the muscular-skeletal structures and functions of the body, particularly of the spinal column and the nervous system, in the restoration and maintenance of health.”
Thomas A. Edison, the great inventor, and a patient and steadfast advocate of chiropractic care stated:
“The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease.”
Chiropractic does just that!
Doctors of chiropractic employ methods of healing to the structural and neurological aspects of the body, particularly the spine. Prevention and treatment of human ailments using spinal adjustments work to restore health and well-being.
